Essie Mint Candy Apple

One of Tanya Burr's favourite nail polishes is Essie Mint Candy Apple and I have been looking for it each time I am in Myer. I finally decided to order it on Ebay. It is such a pretty colour and I am never disappointed by any of Tanya Burr's picks. The photo below makes the polish look a little more blue than it is- it is slightly more green than depicted in the photographs.

Celebrity Style Sunday: Miley Cyrus

I have to admit I really adore Miley Cyrus and her style in particular (I am also a little partial to her tattoos). She certainly has the rock chick style down to an art, but she also scrubs up quite nicely for red carpet events.

Makeup Inventory 2013: Blushes

My blush collection has grown slightly over the last six months so I wanted to update my previous inventory post (this time excluding bronzers- I'll save those for a separate post) to share my current blush collection. I currently have blushes from Mac, Nars, Dior, Benefit, Illamasqua, Topshop, Elf and Make Up Forever.

The five Benefit blushes (pictured left in the square boxes from top to bottom) are Thrrrob, Hervana, Coralista and Sugarbomb the fifth is Posietint (pictured bottom right).
The Dior blush (pictured bottom left in the round tub) is Coup De Poudre #825 Coup De Charme.
The Topshop cream blush (pictured bottom middle in round compact) is Head Over Heels.
The Makeup Forever cream blush (pictured bottom right in larger cylinder) is #6 Quickie.
The two Mac blushes are Plum Foolery and Well Dressed.
The two Illamasqua cream blushes are Brazen and Crush (pictured in the centre- square shaped).
The four Nars blushes (pictured right from the top) are Madly, Orgasm, Desire and a blush duo in Amour and Deep Throat. Nars blushes are my favourite.
Lastly the three Elf blushes (pictured across the top) are Candid Coral, Twinkle Pink and Berry Merry.

Moroccan Oil

I ordered some Moroccan Oil from the Westfield Website (125mL for $49) as my hair has become ridiculously dry since I have been going lighter in colour. My hair is drinking up this oil but it doesn't leave an oily residue on my hair. The 125mL bottle comes with a pump which makes it really convenient and clean to use.

Celebrity Style Sunday: Miranda Kerr

Miranda Kerr is perhaps my longest celebrity crush and I have been following her career from the very beginning. I clearly remember the Dolly magazine in 1997 that had Miranda Kerr on the cover for winning the Dolly Model competition. I was eleven at the time and the magazine belonged to my older sister but I remember thinking she was the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. Miranda originally comes from a small country town (Gunnedah) that is only an hour away from where I live. She is so effortlessly chic with her 'model off duty ' look and always looks so healthy and natural.

MOTD: 1940's Party

I attended a hens party for one on my high school girlfriends who loves the 1940's. It was a fantastic night that was also a lot of fun to get ready for. I was inspired by a Pixiwoo tutorial for my makeup and an Ashley Marie tutorial for my hair (although I found the hair really difficult to replicate). Here is the look I created with black winged liner and bright red lips.
